London Hotel feedback please!!

I just got a hotel reservation thru priceline at the Park Plaza Riverbank London, Westminster, 18 Albert Embankment.

Can someone provide some feedback about the hotel, area, safety, proximity to tube station, accessibility to main sites or any other you may find helpful.

Thank you,
Versus

The hotel is quite nice - however it is not in a very convenient location. Some rooms do have terrific river views

It is not in Westminster - it is in the PriceLine Westminster zone. The hotel's website says it is near Waterloo station - but it isn't. The closest tube station is Vauxhall on the Victoria Line, so you will have to transfer lines to get virtually anywhere.

But if you got a good rate on PL it is a really nice hotel.

I know that you can also take the #2 and #88 buses from the vicinity of the Vauxhall station, and both of those buses will take you to major tourist sites.

Look up www.thetube.com and look for the Journey Planner.

You'll also have the opportunity to take lovely walks along the Albert Embankment.

This would not be my preferred location, but like janis said, it's a very nice hotel, and there are numerous sites within a half-hour walk.

It's mostly office buildings in the immediate locality, so you won't get a lot of trouble from the immediate neighbours (unless the Archbishop of Canterbury has taken to holding midnight raves). Safety is not an issue (it's just over the river from MI5 headquarters).

You will probably be taking buses a fair bit: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaro...idge-12341.pdf
