London Hotel Advice Needed

I'd appreciate some recommendations on a good, inexpensive London hotel. I will only be there for one night in November. Ideally, I'd like to stay near Green Park. I want something in a safe neighborhood, with a private bathroom for $100 - $150. I don't need anything particularly fancy. Thanks!

Try these Web sites:

www.s-h-systems.com.uk (I've used once or twice)
www.welcome2london.com
www.hotel-assist.com (I've used many times and really like)

We booked a good hotel [Abbey COurt] online at

http://www.oneclicktravel.com/london-hotels.html

It was not really near Green park [we were in Notting Hill area] but would otherwise be agood choice, or you could use the guide to find others.
On the frommers website someone was giving a review on a couple of b&b in Victoria area (Heading: Collins House? - which is not as nice but you could walk to Buckingham Palace and Green Park is a short bus ride..

Green Park area is where the Ritz is and Berkeley Square - I would be surprised if you could find somewhere as cheap as $100-$150 though I could be wrong.

There's a Hilton and 2 Sheraton's in the Green Park district, I would check on the respective web sites to see what their specials are, I think you'll find they are in your price range.

Use priceline.com. People have been getting London 4 star hotels for as low as $60. Before you bid at priceline, however, definately check out www.biddingfortravel.com which explains how to get the most for your money on priceline.
