London Hilton Park Lane

Can someone who has stayed at this hotel offer an opinion?

I'll be staying there soon and can offer you a reply when I return. I found the most information about this hotel at flyertalk.com. Go to Miles --> Hilton--> and then use their search function and type Hilton Park Lane.

Well I have only stayed there once and that was over 20 years ago. But I do visit it once on almost every trip to London - to have a drink in the top floor cocktail lounge with its views over all of London and down into Buckingham Palace Gardens.

It is a typical Hilton - upscale but not overly posh. It is across Park Lane from Hyde Park and around the corner from Shepard's Market with it's restaurants and pubs.

I've stayed there with a friend who was on a business trip. He had a suite overlooking the city and it made me re-evaluate my hotel choices in Europe. It was a beautiful place, and because I wasn't paying, I didn't consider value. But it certainly was a memorable experience.

The 2 best Hiltons in London are the Langham Hilton and the Hilton Park Lane (read somewhere Park Lane is supposed to be Hilton's flagship hotel in the UK, if not all of Europe). It's in a very posh area surrounded by other high end hotels (Claridge, Laneborough), expensive auto dealerships, and embassies. Park Lane was our first choice, but was booked, so we ended up staying at the Langham (which was very nice).
