London - Gordon Ramsay's restaurant.
I would like to know which GOrdon Ramsay's location is better - Claridges or Royal Hospital Road? Also, what dishes do fodorites recommend? Thanks in advance.

We love the Claridges location.
Everything is sublime; you are inthe hands of a master ( albeit a cantakerous one!!) You'll love it |

We went to the Royal Hospital Road location last year. We went for lunch which had a few advantages - slightly less expensive (if $400 for lunch can be considered less expensive) and we had a very relaxing afternoon. I think that our reservation was for 1:30PM and we didn't leave until nearly 5:00PM. I'm sure prices have changed, but at the time there was a 3 course prix fixe lunch for 35GBP, a 3 course ala carte for 65GBP and a tasting menu for 80GBP. The taste combinations are as unusual as they are fantastic. The seafood dishes are particularly creative and the desserts - to die for! This location (original) is very understated and cozy. Good luck making reservations! JoeG |
I presume you mean which restaurant is better rather than which has the best location.
The Claridge's one is an hotel restaurant, a good one, but it certainly isn't up to the standards of his flagship one in Chelsea which holds three Michelin stars. |
No contest - it's the Royal Hospital Road one. It's the one he (occasionally) actually cooks in.
