London Ghost Walk or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
We have limited time in London. I'm thinking of an evening activity for our two girls. Trying to decide between a London Ghost walk or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The girls are 8 & 13 and both like scary things and have expressed interest in doing this. They have enjoyed a few productions in New York but I can't recall if they matched the 2hour40min duration.
I'm thinking the London Walk could be a bit more unique but I'm guessing so too could the musical. Anyone able to comment? Thanks much....... |
I'd definitely pick Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It's a wonderful production for kids (and fairly enjoyable for adults). The special effects and production values are terrific.
|
I would also suggest "Chitty,Chitty Bang, Bang". We saw it last June when we were in London and thoroughly enjoyed it, although not as much as the kids in the audience.

Definitely go for the theatre. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a great show and enjoying it won't be a function of the weather.

My 10 and 11 year olds saw Chitty last spring in London and loved it!
I vote for the theatre... Annette |
I haven't seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, so I can't comment on that, but we did do the London Walks Ghost Walk, which was a small disappointment.
We were in London over Christmas and thought the ghost walk sounded kind of fun, and it was - the guide was great, but it wasn't as interesting as I'd thought it would be. Basically, you walk around and make stops every once and a while and the guide tells you the story of a ghost that is rumored to be in this area. I have no idea what I was expecting - it seems obvious that's what the walk would be, but it was a little disappointing. |
It's sounding like the theatre could be the better choice. Would everyone agree that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one of the better productions for the family? I know I've seen very complimentary feedback on this site. Thanks for any input.......

Another vote for Chitty. We saw it on our last trip to London and it's a fun show for all ages. The girls will enjoy it much more the the walks I believe.
