Hello,
This is my first trip report as I have stayed away from everything regarding that trip since returning. I was exhausted and burned out.

Playing tour guide to the three family members, translating, driving the whole time with no help of confirmation of the road that you're on though you have highlighted and tabbed the map, it got me down.

But alas, I shall update on what happened, it was a good trip depsite my previous paragraph, I have yet to post photos online, or really email anyone since.

I did absolutely make it to my flight in Edinburgh with plenty of time.

Before departing the States, I looked up Heathrow airport online to see where I was landing and where I needed to be, so that as soon as we cleared passport control, I could make my way to my Easy Jet flight.

Plenty of time, I will say however that I was expecting to see our departure gate listed on the screen with a good amount of time before departure, this is not to be. The way for EasyJet and other budget airlines is simply right before boarding, the gate is listed on the screen, so some thought I was a rude American for asking twice. I'm just used to advance warning (heck, I'd take 30 minutes advance).

I shall post the trip update.
