London For Less Card
 

Has any used the the London for Less discount card? If so was it worth it? <BR>It's suppose to give discounts on restaurants, activities ect. We already purchased the hertitage pass.

I've seen the "London for Less" guide and card at all the local bookstores. Best bet is to have a look at it and decide for yourself - whether it's worth it or not depends upon whether you find the restaurants to your liking and would be interested in the discounted activities included.

If you are travelling with kids, skip the LFL card. The discounts you get by paying the family rate at those attractions are greater than the discount with the car. We did find, however, that the London White Card was a bargain for a family. It goes by a different name now, though, and I can't remember what it is called now. <BR>

Thanks for the responses. Barnes and Noble is getting a copy for me to look at with no obligation to purchase so I'll be able to compare against what we already have with the the British Heritage Pass.

The London for Less which I purchased last year had hotels in it at 25% discount. You might want to see if you would want to use any of those. That would save you big bucks I would think. In our case we had an air-hotel package so the hotel discounts were worthless to us. We still used the free $5 of phone calls and the 25% discounts on restaurants. Take a good look at it and you can quickly figure out how much you could save with it. <BR>

I used the London for Less a few years ago. First, don't overpay for the book itself (BTA offered it, but at full price plus shipping. Way too expensive all in all). I found it to be a very good guide to take along in my bag, not too large or heavy. Good maps. Good directions, and discounts at nearly every attraction we visited. I don't know if I saved a lot (we didn't use the hotel nor restaurant discounts) but I'm sure I more than paid for the book. I still refer to it for info on London.
