I've looked up 39 Steps and am quite excited about it. I've read the book and seen the film but this is a whole new ball-game with 4 actors playing hundred-odd parts. Sounds hilarious, and a good price and I think we'd all enjoy. So thank you.

Haven't read each and every word but have you included your two kids in itinerary planning and if so what interests them?

I've tried to! Harry Potter WB, bike tour, Muggles walk all geared to them.

Initially tried to encourage them to research each place we were visiting and come up with ideas, but this petered out pretty quickly and I've resigned myself to pretty much thinking on their behalf. I do talk about what I've planned, though, and they generally respond positively. I'm not sure if they think it's real yet. I'm prepared to adapt as we go (apart from the things I've already paid for!).

smm - I know how hard it is to take teens out of their own world at home and interest them in actually help planning where they want to go - you have done a great great job it seems and I'm sure it will all be hunky-dorey (and do give them a few hours in the Trocadero Center!)
