London - First Time in February

I'm 29 years old and have never traveled outside the U.S. Two of my single guy friends and I usually take random trips every year for a week or so. This year, we will be traveling in Mid-February to London for about 5 or 6 nights. I understand that from a tourist perspective, we'll only be able to take in a tiny fraction that London has to offer.
Does anyone have any "must-see" ideas while we are there? Also, we're looking to stay in an area that has a decent nightlife (pubs/cafes) that may have people our age. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

I liked the club Print Works in Farringdon - one of the only ones open till 3 AM. Usually stuff is closed pretty early. There's a mixed crowd there, lots of young people and some older folks as well. Nearby is Exmouth Market or the Eagle gastropub - you could have dinner there and then go to the club.

Might be worth keeping an eye on www.timeout.com/london/ for nightlife information.

For more general information the "London superthread" should give you some ideas:

You might like the Covent Garden area. Lots to enjoy there.

The Notting Hill area also has lots of cafes, etc. that would appeal to your age group. And like Covent Garden, an easy area to get around.

Thanks for all who posted replies. It really gives me some good starting points. Currently, we're thinking of expanding our trip to about 10 days and including 1-2 days in Dublin. Any ideas would be appreciated!
