London: Ferries/boats on the Thames

Are there regular ferries or boats that ply the Thames, as on the Seine?

If so, Is there regular service from St. Katherine's Dock to say, Westminister? I can see stops on the map, but not sure of service.

Thanks for any help on this slightly esoteric topic!!

Never mind. As usual, I go to Fodor's before Google. Talk about brainwashing!! I think I've convinced myself that all the answers are on Fodor's Travel Talk Forums! Maybe it's just too early in the morning.

I did find info on the internet. If anyone has any one-off experiences or ideas, do let me know. thanks, again.

If you're staying near to St Katherine's Dock, at the Tower for instance, you'll find a boat stop right by the hotel opposite the Starbucks that is by the Tower.

There is a booth at the top of the jetty for tickets.

For anyone else, the information is on the Transport for London website http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/21311.aspx

Thank you all, for responding so quickly. I hope someone else can benefit from the information, as I will.
