London February Special
Go-Today.com is offering specials to London for Jan-Feb. I have emailed them 3 times to request what airlines they use from Chicago to London. I have not received a reply. Has anyone used this internet website to purchase tickets and do you know what airlines they use? My concern is if they are reputable since they do not respond to emails. HELP!

Diane, I would do an internet search on info with these guys. Better Business Buruea(sp). here's another way of doing this. www.lowfares.com for the plane tix then www.thisislondon.com to help find yourself a hotel. www.ask.com is another site I check out all the time It has it's own travel section now and my uncle just used them he said they where better then other places he used locally. I personally check with my local newspapers, online also, and see what's offered or use what my college uses. There are always a better rate somewhere else where they want you business and email you back.
Hope this helps. Beatrice

Dianne, I have used Go-Today twice for trips to London and was pleased both times. They delivered what they promised. They always responded to my emails. I know they have gotten more popular, so perhaps they've not gotten to your question yet.

The first time I used them, we flew British Airways non-stop from Texas; the second time we flew United and had connections in Washington DC going and Chicago returning.

If you'd like more info, e-mail me.

Jane

Diane, I've used Go-Today 2 times and both times have been satisfied with their service. Both times our flight was out of Orlando and they used Virgin Atlantic one time and British Airways the next. The airline depends on which day you decide to leave and if they can arrange a space on it, if not they keep looking. It did seem that they responded to emails better after you had bought one of their trips and even gave you a phone number to call with questions but only if you had bought a trip. We had to work with them on the days of arrival and departure due to availability of airline seats but it worked out both times. Frommer's recommends them as do other posts on this board and I found them to be reputable.

Thank you for your replies. I went ahead and booked 4 tour packages with Go-Today.com on 12/16/99 and per their web page was told I would hear within 1 business day if we are confirmed. It is now 12/22/99 and I still have not heard anything from them. I have emailed once more and they do not respond. We want to get this trip booked and since I have a credit card out there with 4 trips on it and have not heard anything I cannot move forward with another company. What can I do at this point. I do not have a phone number for them. HELP!!!!

Diane--I contacted Go-Today, yesterday and they emailed me back almost immediately. They stated that they have found your booking and have sent you an email along with a confirmation letter to that effect. They stated that they had trouble finding your request at first because it was listed under another name and that the reason you hadn't received any emails from them was due to a wrong email address. They also mentioned that they had to provide you with information on an alternate hotel since the one you requested came back unavailable. I hope they have taken
care of your concerns as it seems.

I know in my case I was concerned initially with booking a trip thru the internet without being provided with a phone number, and was constantly worried that all that could go wrong would. Afterall, all you have is an email address and the promise that they would email you soon and send you all your stuff. But it all worked out and I got all that they promised and more.

I hope they have handled your concerns.
I know you'll have a great time in London. Let us know how your trip went by posting it on this forum.
