London Eye Discounts
I read on a thread the other day about getting half price tickets on the Eye using the Oyster Card. Is this correct? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe they've stopped offering 2 for 1 entry to the London Eye. Maybe they'll put it back up soon?
2 for 1 deals with your Oyster card are listed on the link below: http://tinyurl.com/y6w72k Additionally, you could check out 2 for 1 entry at many London sights (i.e. Tower of London, London Zoo, etc) with this website below: http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ Make sure you read the requirements (you need a Travelcard or a train ticket - different from the offers listed with the Oyster card in the first llink) |
Thanks for the links, it does look like I am out of luck with this one.
Fingers crossed that it might be reinstated before May! |
Hi Maudie - Sorry I didn't post sooner - I did repaly on my other thread too... was v. busy at work and away from thsi board.
Hi Everyone - sorry for not getting back to this sooner - work got in the way. Maudie - We saw this offer in a brochure and also in the ads lining the escalators at the Tube stations. But it doesn't seem to be on any more according to Partick's research. It was a 2 for 1 on certain attractions with a valid Oyster card. I think they were really trying to encourage people to buy and use Oyster so offerng some extra deals was an incentive. I hope they reinstate it for your trip1 As i mentioned I was quite lukewarm about our "flight"on the Eye and am glad we got the reduced price. |
well, I see I've given you a little gift... an extra sentence that doesn't belong... it's a leftover from a cut and paste in my other thread. :)

Thanks Taggie,
I can just keep my fingers crossed, maybe I can find some other deal. I don't really know if I want to pay full price, I was quite interested in your comments. I love getting gifts! |
