London Eye at Sunset?
Will be in London after Christmas and wish to take my family to the London Eye. We have heard the best time to do so is at sunset. Is this still true during the winter? If not, what time would you suggest?

well sunset is sunset, in winter or summer, it's just earlier in winter,so I guess I can't see what you're getting at.
There's no real point of doing it at sunset if it's a gloomy day - wait for clear weather. After dark is good too, with the city lit up beneath you, and of course this is fine in most weather.

As already mentioned, sunset is a great time to do the Eye as long as it's a clear day. Nightime is very pretty too. I'd probably skip the experience altogether if your trip is a string of gloomy days (and I hope it's not!). Play it by ear and go if the weather is good. It's almost always possible to walk up and get tickets so no need to purchase ahead.

Thanks for the heads up about no lines usually. I was pressed to pick a date and buy before we leave. I will leave it until we are there. Also will take your advice for a night time visit. Merci!
