Though i'm sure Fodor editors were looking for British establishments i wonder if Whole Foods Market's new emporium in Kensington with its large restaurant and got to be good and healthy if not epicurean food may fit the 20 quid list - maybe more for Brits than yanks who probably want to try something different from what they'd get back home

I realize Whole Foods has great take away, but do they also have a nice atmospheric sit down full scale restaurant? That's the kind of places this list seems to be.
But your post, PalenqueBob seems to indicate they do have such a thing. Yes??

No i don't know but in the long thread we had on WFM London some folks mentioned what seemed to be a large sit-down restaurant. As for decor i'm sure it's not what most would call romantic and you are no doubt right it doesn't fit in with the others. I was thinking mainly of good food for a good price.

But maybe someone can describe the restaurant.

We really liked the Busaba Eatthai on Store Street.

Lahore Kebab House is not a fancy joint, but is as authentic as anything I've ever had in London.

Enjoy, just don't expect a place that isn't "food" oriented.
Best, Dave

I am afraid I can't quite agree about Busabe Eathai, I ate at their restaurant in bloomsbury quite often (not many choices near the university), the best I could say is not very bad for Thai food.

I would highly recommand Japan Centre Toku Restaurant near Piccadilly Circle, much much better food(around 10 Quid ) than Yagamama or other budget Asian restaurants.
