London- Dinner

On the London Eye website, they offer different items that you get a discount on if you purchase it with an london eye trip.

These are some of the restaurants that they offer
Chez Gerard
Loco Mensa
Liveboat Seafood
Rivera Restaurant

Does anybody know anything good or bad about these places?

Thanks

Melissa

I'm pretty sure you mean Livebait - not Liveboat.

There is a Livebait in the Cut which is close to the Eye. Sort of run of the mill sea food but certainly OK

Chez Gerard is a chain w/ probably the best location upstairs at Covent Garden looking over the Royal Opera House and down Drury Lane w/ an outdoor dining balcony. I actually enjoy Chez Gerard - sort of French Bistro-y. But again not super special. It would be fine if you were in/near Covent Garden anyway.

Chez gerard is steak & chips à la francaise. It's quite ok. A bunch of us just had a very good meal at Smiths of Smithfields 2nd floor - very good value, good gastro-pub type food, great steaks and burghers very hip and trendy. Reccommend!
