London/Cotswolds Hotels

I'm also looking for some hotel suggestions for our trip to the Cotswolds and also for London. We are staying at Gravetye Manor near Gatwick for a couple of nights, but need a nice, but preferably less expensive place to stay in the Cotswolds and London. Any tips would be appreciated.

first - ignore travelaxe - he is advertising his own rather lame booking site.

Now, about your questions-- Give us a number. "less expensive" doesn't tell us much.

There are MANY threads about hotels in London w/ prices, descriptions, recommendations, etc. Have you been before? What area of London do you want? Do you have a specific village or area you want in the Cotswolds?

There are literally hundreds of places to choose from - so give us a £ or $ or € amount . . . . . .

In the Cotswolds I'd stay in a B&B. It's less expensive and more friendly. Look them up at www.theaa.com or www.smoothhound.com. Will you have a car? That's best for the Cotswolds.

I second Mimar's suggestion about staying in a Cotswolds B&B. My own experience staying in one there was very enjoyable, and I would've stayed at a B&B for a hotel in that lovely part of England anytime.
