London Cemeteteries

Is it worth the time to go to either Highgate Cemetery or Kensal Green? We will be there next week, so I don't think they have tours of Highgate in the winter. I would love to hear from anyone who has been. i don't want to waste my precious london time if it isn't worth it. This my maybe 10th trip to London, so I do have time for off the beaten path. (If it is worth it.)

I often can't tell whether a close friend will find something is "worth it" to them so it's impossible to tell a total stranger, whose likes and dislikes I don't know whether it will be time well spent. Only you can determine that. Here are some threads to read

I was seriously underwhelmed by the Highgate tour. Big build up about atmospheric, Victorian, tangle jungly, etc, and it was pretty ordinary. Attitude of tour providers that they are doing you a favour didn't help.

Kensal Green tour was great. Enthusiastic guides willing to spend as much time as the participants want. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the threads and the opinions. It is hard to define "worth it".

It's not worth going out of your way to see graves, none of the stones are particularly impressive, and so what - the person's skeleton is under your feet? Pointless.
