London: Black Cab or H O H O Bus?
 

follow up addition to my earlier post...
any particular advantage to a black cab tour or a hop-on hop-off bus? I'm thinking about Monday morning when we get there after overnight flight.

(The h-o-h-o buses and taxis have different purposes. A taxi is to get from point A to point B, a H-o-h-o is for touring around the whole city seeing the sites and listening to commentary. Some taxi drivers do sight seeing tours - but not most)

The cab will get your from point a to point b. A hop on/off bus is great from getting from tourist site to tourist site. Most tickets are good for 24 hours so buy in early PM and it can work for parts of two days.

(sorry, I should have tacked this on to the earlier post). I think the bus sounds like the perfect "morning after all-night flight" option.

Except that we have not found there to be very good after an overnight flight. Too easy to fall alseep in the seats.
