London - best places - 2 girls who like to shop & eat
Headed to London the end of March. Need recommendations on shopping (clothes and flea markets) and restaurants. We like a less formal setting for eating. We will be there on a Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun.

Try www.fancyapint.com if you're interested in visiting a pub or two. Most have good food and drink.

I'm so jealous of your timing... you'll be there in time to catch the new Bruce Norris play at the Royal Court Theatre. It's a world premiere, so no reviews yet, but would be a fun night out. I've seen all his plays and wish I could get there for this one.

Thank you! We are 40's. Love flea markets, food street markets, inexpensive antiques and small boutique shops with a artsy flair. For food we like a less formal place with innovative and fresh cuisine. Love English Tea with all the delightful pastries. So anything advice along these lines would also be appreciated.

we are planning to visit Charity shops while there NEXT week -

Markets we are planning to visit not yet mentioned are Sunday UP Market, Brick Lane.
we are planning to have tea at The Tea Room at Harrods and I have an entire list of other tea places - depending on where we will be on that day.....
we have been known to buy items from the outdoor markets and make a meal of it - pubs are good for food - someone recommended Hung Drawn and Quartered near Tower Hill - we are planning to try.
