London - Bed & Breakfast
I am trying to find information regarding a Bed & Breakfast in London called... Number 57 Walnut Tree Walk.
|
There are hundreds of B&Bs/small hotels in London, so the chance that someone who does know of this place will actually notice your post is pretty unlikely.
Since you want info about a very specific property, it would be better to re-post with the name in your title. I don't know the B&B myself, but the street is south of the river near the Imperial War Museum off Kennington Rd. Maybe not the most convenient of locations since the only tube station semi-nearby is Lambeth North on the Bakerloo line. |
Either the place is very new or something's wrong with your info. I can't find anything like that. There's a school on Walnut Tree Walk and it's in Lambeth near the Imperial War Museum.

I found two sites with a bit of information on it:

57 Walnut Tree Walk
Google is a wonderful thing! |
Oops, not only did I cross post with Will, I pasted the wrong info in!
Contact Richard or Jeff at 57 Walnut Tree Walk, Kennington SE11 on 020 7735 5375. Is what I meant to paste! |
I haven't stayed there, but about three years ago I went on a London Walks walk (to Greenwich) with a guide, Richard Bartlett, who was the proprietor of 57 Walnut Tree Walk. He handed out cards about the place at the end of the walk, and I still have the card.
I won't quote the rates on the card, because they're probably outdated, but here's part of what the card has to say about the place: "Number 57, a classic London town house was built in 1756 and has been recently restored to create a beautiful home. It combines a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with elegant surroundings; antique furniture, oil paintings, a grand piano in the drawing room and a delightful garden." The card also says it's a five-minute walk from Lambeth North underground station. For what it's worth, Richard was a good tour guide on the Greenwich walk. |
That may be - but it does seem odd that a B&B in London will turn up nothing on Google except for the one 4 year old "searching for . . " entry on knowhere.co.uk that WillTravel mentions.
Even B&Bs that don't have their own websites will normally still bring up mentions on other sites, blogs, reviews, etc. |
According to the second link (from weightlossdog), the B&B cost 60 to 85 pounds in 2001.
I know this is utterly predictable, but I do think Priceline would likely provide a better value in many cases than this not-so-well-located B&B. |
Thank you for the responses. I will give the place a call (which is normally best). Again, thank you for each person's assistance. You made my first attempt at this - positive.
