London and Paris in June
I was in London in March and April of this year. Both times of the year, it was too cold or windy to explore much of the city.
I am planning another trip to London and Paris in the first week of June next year. Generally speaking, is the weather pleasant enough for walking/strolling at that time of year? Is that a good time of the year to visit these cities?

Look at www.weather.com to get an idea of historical weather averages. Of course your stay could vary dramatically. I can't imagine that June would not be warm enough for you. But it is a matter of personal taste, because many are quite happy to walk and explore those cities in March also.

I visited London in June, 2003, and the weather was actually quite warm during my stay--in the 80's I believe. It was also beautiful everyday we were there--I think we had about 5 minutes of drizzle one morning. Getting out and seeing the sights was so easy since the weather was so accommodating. There were times when it was "hot" so I was happy that our hotel had A/C.

It is unusual for London to be in the 80's in June. 2003 was a huge exception, as was 1995, as was 1976. It is, however, a great time to visit, because the winter chill has blown away, the flowers are in bloom, and generally not much rain. Yes, it's absolutely great for strolling there.
Paris is similar, usually a little warmer, but not always.

We most often go to London for about two weeks at the end of May, first of June. I can't tell you how many times the first week has been wonderful, and the second week (usually that first week in June) we thought we'd freeze to death! Realize of course that we're from Florida. I also traveled with our theatre group to perform and enjoy for the first two weeks of June in 1994. I have pictures of two of our group bundled up like Eskimos on top of a bus, the rest of us couldn't stand it and had to sit down below inside. We had some good days, but for the most part we felt like it was winter -- no kidding.
But by the same token, we've been there when the weather was absolutely glorius the first of June.
