taking my two children (21 and 24) to London and Paris . Any suggestions? We are in London for 5 days and Paris for 2. Leaving this Friday. thanks

As it is, this is a pretty un-answerable question. There are (literally) thousands of suggestions you could get re London and Paris.

Have you done any research on your own? What sorts of things do you enjoy? You are leaving in 3 days - what are you already planning on seeing? If someone took the time to recommend something - and your answer is - "Oh, we already have tickets for that" - Waste of everybody's time.

I would start by checking the city guides for Paris and London on this website, and then come back w/ more detailed questions . . . . .

I was just in London last March and saw Paris a couple years earlier and here are some must see's in my opinion.

London
------
- Do a Big Red Bus Tour (fun and useful in getting around all at the same time
- The Tower of London was great and I spent almost an entire day there
- Try to do some 'London Walks'. They have a great web site (http://london.walks.com/) and are a good 1-2 hour activity. I was on a 'St. Patricks Day Pub' walk and also squeezed in a 'Jack the Ripper' walk.

Paris
-----
- You must hit the Musee d'Orsay (great museum and not as overwhelming as the Louvre). I saw 'Whistlers Mother' and many other great works here.
- With only two days it is a stretch but I would highly recommend visiting Versailles (it's a short 30-minute train ride from Paris).

This is the only post from this person? Hmmm. Doesn't necessarily mean anything strange, but it just seems that one would have checked this site out a long time ago, and not wait until two days before departure. Hope you have a nice trip what ever you do. It's hard to have a bad time in London or Paris I think.

We recently returned from London-Paris-Amsterdam with our 16 and 20 year olds. If you click on my name above, you can pull up my travel report for specific recommendations on restaurants, activities and hotels. We only have three days and four nights in each city, and I wish we'd had at least one more day each. But who doesn't say that after any length of stay? Anyway, can you even out the time between the two cities-- like 4 and 3 instead of 5 and 2? In any event, you will have a good time.

If you have really done as little research and spent as little thought as it would appear from your question here are two helpful hints:

In Paris try to see the Eiffel Tower.

In London, look for Big Ben -- the clock tower by Parliament.

That should pretty well cover it.
