london and edinburgh same?

I will be in london and edinburgh mid january and would like if they havethe same weather. IS one colder han the other?

The answer to this question is so obvious! Edinburgh is a lot further north than London. It's on the same latitude 56° as Copenhagen, or St. John's, Newfoundland. London is more like Ottowa. I don't think there will be vast differences in the temperatures, but Edinburgh will most likely be colder . . . and will get darker earlier than London.

You need to look at a good globe Sandra.
(Paris is further north than St. Johns;
Ottawa is about the same latitude as Milan)

So what, Reese, what does that have to do with the weather, which is what pat is asking? So Paris is further north than St. Johns. So are you trying to say that means Paris is generally colder than St. Johns?

All sorts of things control the answer to this question, but as a general rule, Edinburgh will be colder than London, maybe by as much as 10 degrees. (It was last week)
