london airport hotels? Heathrow.

We are staying one nite in London before travelling to Scotland early next morning, any hotel recommendations would be great close to heathrow. Thank you.

I don't know what teriminal you are flying out of but if it's Term. 4 you can't beat the Hilton for close proximity. It's connected via a covered walkway and you can take a luggage trolley right to the hotel (and pick one up outside the door when you need to go back). It's not the cheapest of the a/p hotels, but we've used it a couple of times because it is so very convenient. There are other hotels (Crowne Plaza, Radisson, a couple of Sheraton's, Marriott, etc.) close by but you need to take the Hoppa Bus to get to them and they charge a couple of pounds per ride. No free shuttles like U.S. airport hotels have.

i am staying at heathrow in a couple of weeks from now and through priceline i was awarded a nite at the sheraton skyline for $55 plus tax....many, many people are receiving this same award so you might want to try it???
look at biddingfortravel.com under london to see for yourself and to get info on bidding on priceline

Another vote for the Hilton. It is just so convenient for flying out early in the morning, especially if you are leaving from terminal 4

Hello,
I was quoted 85 pounds last nite for the Hilton Heathrow Airport Hotel and 149 pounds tonite. Hugh difference. I guess when you are quoted 85 pounds, it is good to make the reservation right away.

Hi - I stayed at Renaissance Heathrow last year in October for GBP 89. Took a cab from airport because we had gimpy Mom with us. The hotel was fine - a bit dated, rooms a good size. Sister tried to use a prepaid card to call home and it didn't work - probably not hotel's fault. Nice bar! If we were going to fly out the next morning, I would have chosen Hilton right at the airport.

Can really recommend the Crowne Plaze at Heathrow. Have to take Hoppa Bus to get there but that's no big deal. Greatest mattress I have ever slept on and windows are double-glazed so you hear nothing. Restaurant downstairs and got a great deal from their website - think it was 49 pounds end of last summer. I think their doors must be 'double glazed' too, because we didn't even hear that irrating noise you always get from the hallways. Stylish bathrooms, great water pressure. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if had to stay at Heathrow.

Try looking on lastminute.com or laterooms.com for whatever hotel you want. Another site to try is ebookers.com
