london air fares
Found a $376 round trip airfare from JFK to London in October - think it's a great deal but just wanted to check if I could do better.
|
It's a great deal!
Does it ever go lower? Yes, mostly in winter. I'd grab it, and I'm tempted myself--where did you find it? |
Elaine - I found in on Expedia.com & it's on Air India. I'm going to get it now because I'm afraid I won't see it that cheap for this time of year.Other carriers such as American have also dropped their prices since last week. Got a steal from Indianapolis to JFK on Delta too - $151. I paid $244 last September for the same flight from Indy to JFK. It's sad when it costs me almost as much like last year to fly from Indy to JFK as it did from Paris/London.

I can get a flight from Indy to LaGuardia for $116 now on ATA but by the time you pay for the round trip bus transfers to JFK, and put up with the hassle of transfering airports, it isn't worth it.

I've been watching fares from New York to London in early November (when the fares will probably be pretty much the same as they are in October), and they've been right around $376. However, I just checked a BA itinerary that I've saved on Expedia, and as of this morning it's at $343, so if you move fast you might be able to get that fare.

I just read the rules on that BA itinerary I mentioned above, which I should have done before I posted the first time. The $343 fare is available for departures from October 30 through December 17, and has to be purchased by June 25. If you want to leave in October, before the 30th, fares on BA are $100 higher, which makes the $376 fare you found look pretty good.

Thanks for the info - I'm going to get the Air India fare now and the Delta one cause I doubt I'll find one much better.
