London A2 Airbus to Russell Sq.
We'll be arriving around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and are wondering if the traffic will make the trip into London on the airbus long and tedious. Can anyone help me estimate a time it might take to reach Russell Square? Thanks for your help.

Forgot to specify that we'll be arriving at Heathrow. Thanks.

Saturday traffic will be better than a week day but will still be quite busy. The trip to Russell Square should take an hour and a half. The buses are very comfortable and not tedious if you enjoy watching the city sights go by. If you want a faster and more "interactive" mode of transport, take the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to Russell Square. Trip is about 45 minutes if all is running smoothly on the tube.

You also forgot to specify which terminal at Heathrow, which makes a difference. According to their schedule, it is 1h 18m from T1 to Russell Square/Bedford Place. Barring unforeseen incidents, they should have no trouble maintaining or beating that schedule on a Saturday morning.

According to the Heathrow website the estimated time is 1 hour and 40 minutes. I've always enjoyed the ride so it never seemed that long to me.

We'll arrive at Heathrow terminal 3. Thanks again.

In that case, subtract 5 minutes from the time I mentioned above. T3 is the last terminal stop before leaving LHR.

Thanks everyone for your answers! Elizabeth

I usually take the Piccadilly line to Russell Square tube station from Heathrow, it's worked efficiently and fast for me. However, I take the Airbus 2 back to Heathrow, and it has never taken as long as one hour and 40 minutes! But, to clarify that, I have left very early on sunday usually, so I guess that explains the difference. The Airbus is very comfortable.
