This thread illustrates one of the reasons I personally believe the London Pass is such a rip off.

You initially listed several sites (the Tower Bridge Experience, Mme Tussauds, the Dungeon, etc) that I suspect were only considered BECAUSE they are on the LP.

The Tower Bridge Experience is OK for sure. I've been a couple of times back when it was covered by the much better Great British Heritage Pass (the GBHP has been discontinued). But it definitely is NOT a major or first tier site. Especially on a busy first visit to London.

And the Dungeon (which I know you have now eliminated) is just silly.

All the while you are missing some MUCH more worthwhile sites/activities. Instead of dashing around trying to make a LP pay off - why not pick places that are more 'worthwhile'?

Day 1 still makes no sense.

Thanks Schuler and janisj

Guys when can I visit Borough Market?? Day tour or Day 4???

janisj

I will definately try to make Harrod any other day.

Please note that I am not planning to visit London Dungeon, I did not mention it in my posts. Also London Dungeon and Madam Tussad are not covered in London Pass. I dont think London pass is that bad if u are staying long, specially its good if u are alone. because 2for1 does not cover few important attractions--->Thames River cruise, westminster Abbey, Windsor castle, Tower of London which london pass does.

Please let me know what are other worthwhile places I should visit so that I can do some small changes in my plan. This is the reason I posted in this community

<<Day 4 (11th September Wednesday) St. Paul Cathedral , Lunch at Brough Market, Shakespeare Globe theater tour , Tower of london , Harrod>>

You are crossing back on yourself several times.

Start the day at the Tower of London, then cross Tower Bridge and walk along the south bank of the river. You will walk right past HMS Belfast. Further along the river to Borough Market, further again to the Globe, then across the bridge to St Paul's. This is too much to do in one day if you're planning to do the tour of the Globe and/or HMS Belfast rather than just walk by, but at least the logistics make sense.

Combine the Greenwich boat trip with Big Ben / Westminster Abbey / London Eye. Harrods doesn't fit in at all - it's the other side of London. Do that after the V&A.

Thanks for the input..actually I should have placed Borough market between St paul and Globe..this day I m planning a walking tour..let me explain the walking time required to between two attractions

St. Paul Cathedral-->shakespeare Globe theater 11 minute
Shakespeare Globe theater--->Brough Market 9 minute
Shakespeare Globe theater----> Tower of london 16 minute

Harrod I will do in Day 8 as Portobello market is close on that day (Sunday).

What else can be done this day after tower of london?

Borough Market runs Thurs-Sat. There are some shops but the market is only those three days.

Hi, the Tower of London has a queue issue, if you get their first thing you beat the queue which start later when the coaches come in from outside London. Do the Jewels first as that is the biggest queue Doing it late in the day is not the right solution.

Looking better . . .

On day 1 I'd do the Tower first thing. Then after lunch head down river to Greenwich. Then IF you still have time hit HMS Belfast.

No, St Paul's last entry is at 4PM and closes to tourists at 4:30. Everyone must leave the bldg before they reopen for Evensong.

One needs at least 2 hours in St Pauls if they want to explore the crypt and/or climb the dome.

You could hit St Paul's by about 2 or 2:30 and then leave to get something to eat (or eat in the crypt cafe) before returning for Evensong though.

Probably I will then go back to my previous schedule starting the morning with St Paul as in evening I will have less time to visit in which I will have less rush.

Please check if this schedule looks good???

St Paul (8.30-10.30)
Shakespeare Globe theater tour (10.45-12.30)
Borough Market Lunch (12.45-2.00)
Tower of London (2.30-5.30 pm)
