London

I just read about ben Franklin's house being open to the public and we want to visit it.
As it is near Traf Square, I was wanting to go to it on the same day that we go to Big Ben-Parliament-Cabinet war rooms.
Is this do-able?
Thanks

The Benjamin Franklin House is on Craven Street, not far from Trafalgar Square. Here is the website:

The presentation at the house takes about 45 minutes.

Your other sights are all within moderate walking distance of the Franklin house. Since you can't normally do anything but look at Big Ben, that takes very little time. If you are visiting Parliament during the summer openings, then that will be by timed, advance purchase ticket, and takes about 1 1/4 hours. For info:

Finally, the Cabinet War Rooms/Churchill Museum is also nearby. Plan on spending 1-2 hours there. For info:

So, yes, all three are theoretically doable in one long, planned, day.

I think you need to spend a little longer at the Cabinet War rooms. Now that the Churchill Museum is there, it makes for a lot to see.

This is the schedule that I am thinking of:
9:15 - 10:30 parliament tour
11:15-12:15 Ben Franklin house
12:30-Lunch
2-5 Cabinet war rooms
5:30 Dinner @ National Portait restaurant
Evening - Mary Popins

Does it work?

Make sure you eat a very lite lunch or you won't be hungry for your pre-theatre dinner! (Or at least that's how we would be).

I think you've allotted good amounts of time. Depending upon how long your lunch takes, and when you finish with the Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill, you could have 1/2 hour to 1 hour to wander around the Portrait Gallery before your meal.

...or, if the weather is good, any extra time before/after Cabinet War Rooms could be spent walking through one of London's most lovely parks: St. James's Park.
