London 2for1 pass
I have been trying to get the London 2 for 1 passes that I have heard about, but have not been able to do it. I have tried everything suggested under technical difficulties with no luck. It says that Remember that you can also pick up the vouchers from the 2for1 London Attractions leaflet which can be found at principal staffed National Rail stations in the South East. We plan to take the Southern train from Gatwick to London, but that will probably be the end of our train travel. Where exactly to I pick up the passes (I have no idea what a "principal staffed National Rail stations in the South East" means. Thanks for your help.

I'd have thought Gatwick would count as one of those stations, but the main aim is to attract people who live around London to use the train more, so it's possible that the leaflets may not be so available at Gatwick or once you're in London. But there's no harm asking at Gatwick when you get your ticket for London. Otherwise, try taking a day trip to Brighton or somewhere like that and see if they've got any.

Is this what you're talking about?
http://tinyurl.com/gsodb I'm not sure about a "pass", but last trip we printed a number of vouchers for a bunch of different attractions that were two for one with showing a railroad ticket (although no one ever asked to see a ticket). |
And there are more two for one attractions (with your rail ticket) listed at http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/
|
The 2 links that you have given me take me right to the 2for1 site that I am having trouble registering on. I will check at Gatwick and see what they say. Thanks !

Make sure you are answering all the questions, if you don't. it won't let you print them out. Also, your London Travelcard, for the tube, can work as your "train ticket" if you are getting one for your stay in London.
|
I do answer all of the questions and it starts working like it is taking it and then I get a strange error message. Is the London travelcard a tube pass? Never been to London, so this is all new to me !
|
What's the strange error message?
|
I just went to the daysout link and registered and chose three different things and printed off the vouchers. I did get a small hangup, and finally figured out that it was because I hadn't checked 0 for the number of children. You must put in something.
I'm not sure what you are doing wrong. I found it very easy. Are you sure you're registering first and then filling in all the blanks? |
My hang up is with the registration. I make sure all fields are filled in. I have even tried using the hotel address in London, instead of a US address, but when I hit submit it works for a minute and then I get my error message. I don't even get to the point of picking what I want.

You might get a little more help if you post exactly what you enter and exactly how the system responds.
(Yes, a Travelcard is a one- three- or seven-day Transport for London pass.) |
To register, I enter name etc and when I put the address in, I do as the FAQ suggests and pick other and put USA in county name. I put our city and state under town/city. I have tried the field without the state also. Here is the 1st part of the error message I get: Server Error in '/' Application.
