London 2 for 1 offfer

After reading previous posts here, I believe that the 2 for 1 offers by British Rail (or whatever the correct name is) is a much better option than the London Pass. I just want to check that if using a weekly travelcard the 2 for 1 offers still work. You are not expected to be able to hand over an actual ticket are you, but can just show the travelcard instead?

I can't compare the savings against the London Pass since I don't know anything much about the London Pass.

However, I have used the 2 for 1 offers several times. Occasionally I have been asked to show my rail ticket. Since I live and work in London, all I have is my annual season ticket (travelcard) and this has always been okay. Therefore, I'd be surpised if you had any trouble showing a weekly travelcard. You don't hand over the ticket, you just need to show it if they ask.

I hope this helps.

Enjoy London!
