What are you asking about -- are we back to the HUB?? It would not be for anyone who wants space or room to walk around the bed.

Motel One has not been mentioned and tbh I think it beats Premier Inn and Travelodge hands down. The one in London is about 3 mins walk from Aldgate tube and many of the rooms have views of The Gherkin and Cheesegrater. Nice bar with decent gin menu and cocktails. Aircon which goes down below 18C! Very good organic continental breakfast. I’ve stayed in several of these across Europe and really rate them highly. The London one (which calls itself Motel One Tower Hill, despite being slightly closer to Aldgate) has rooms from £99 a night.

I liked Motel One in Germany, and made a reservation for the London one for last year. But when I thought about the state of my knees, and the location, I canceled and booked the Premier Inn St. Pancras instead. With the OP's stated mobility issues I would not recommend the London Motel One.

I agree -- that location would mean long bus rides to almost anywhere. I'd recommend as very central as possible.
