London
I was planning on going to London and Paris for my honeymoon in December. I would arrive on the 22nd of December but now that I have begun to plan I realize that many things are closed on 12/24-26. Has anyone ever spent Christmas in London? Is there anything to do in that time or am I better off going to Paris and Switzerland that are only closed on 12/25.

My in laws just spent Christmas in London, yes the shops etc. Were closed, but they enjoyed a very nice, special dinner in their London Hotel and had no complaints.

I've not been brave enough to go to London in the winter yet, but I just saw a special on Christmas in London. It recommended not to miss the London Eye, as the entire city lights up (but dress warmly!!!). Also, there is a certain neighborhood (Can't remember what now) in which each street competes in having the most beautiful light display... tailored to the common visitors of that street...
