Loire Valley restaurant suggestions near Amboise

We will be staying at Le Manoir Les Minimes 2 nights and Chateau de Noizay 2 nights. Would appreaciate any restaurant suggestions, medium priced, not too fancy, that serves fish, as my husband doesn't eat meat or chicken. Thanks... Sandy

When we spent three nights at Le Manior Les Minimes we ate dinner one night at the dining room of the Hotel BLASON
11 pl. Richelieu, Amboise 37400, France. It was guite good, not expensive, and had a nice varied menu. This is also a popular hotel in Amboise. The other two nights we ate in the little local bar called le Shaker, located on the island just across the bridge from Minimes (you could walk over to it if desired - which might be smartest since parking on island is difficult but not impossible). We liked le Shaker, good drinks and nice bar menu. I do not recall if fish was on the menu as we had the appetizer plates of meats and cheeses. Blason is not far from Minimes, right in center of Amboise.

You might want to have dinner at Le Choiseul, right in Amboise. Lovely restaurant. Also, not too far away in Blyry is Le Cheval Blanc, one of my all-time favorite restaurants in France. I'm sure, it being the Loire and French chefs being inclined to use local ingredients, you will find fish on both menus.

When we were in Amboise last year we stayed @ the moderatedly priced "Hotel la Breche" with the half-board. The meal was quite nice and as I recall there were at least a couple of local fish meals on the menu. It is located on the otherside of the river from the chateau and the island but we walked to and from the center of town without problem.
Here is the website...

Sandy:

Le Cheval Blanc is in Blere (with two acute accents, one over each "e") NOT Blyry!!

Not being able to use accents on a Europe board is very frustrating!!
