Loire in May

What's the weather like in May in the Loire?<BR>Which is the better place to stay - Tours or Boise for 3/4 days after a walking hol along the Loire.

Late May should be perfect. We were last there in early June and weather was great. You might look into staying in Amboise. Small, beautiful little town with the Chataeu overlooking the river. Check Rick Steves book for some good hotel choices.

I was there in May 2000 -- weather was delightful. Although we stayed in a manor house just outside Blois, I also recommend staying in Amboise.
