Loire Balloon Basket Making Place? Anyone Heard of It?

A friend who knew i had spent lots of time in the Loire Valley asked me if i could tell her how to get to the famous basket making works that make baskets for hot-air balloons and similar such baskets.
All she knew it was on the Cher River in the town of Villanes-les-Rochers.
Anyone have any info on this. thanks. PalQ

You might want to contact the folks at FranceBalloons if all else fails.

For some reason, your question intrigued me, so after a little creative Googling (the town is Villaines-les-Rochers) I managed to find their website:
http://www.vannerie.com/
and there is an access map here:
http://www.vannerie.com/en/plan-acces.php

You are welcome PalenQ.
Was interested to find out more about the place - and I learned a new word (vannerie) too!

and i had never heard to "osier" the plant material they apparently make these baskets largely out of.

i'm still not sure what the English equivalent of the word osier is - my French son said osier is famous in France - like for bike basket - panniers he says they say panniers osiers (not correct grammar but something like that) - baskets are often referred to as osiers or something.
I've biked several times thru the Loire and never realized the osiers i must have passed by.
so again thanks for your interest.

osier is just willow, we have a lot of willow wickerwork in the US, also.

The woman was spelling the name of the place wrong, that is one reason you couldn't find it by Google. It isn't on a river, either.
