logistics seville to tarifa, cadiz or malaga then barcelona

We ladies are planning a trip to visit DD in seville. Then thought to travel to the coast for 3 days and go to Morrocco for a day. we are then going to barcelona for 5 nites.

Just trying to figure out the best town on the beach for easier access to trains to barcleona
or should we fly.

If we stay in tarifa (best for day trip) but i believe is only accessed by bus.
cadiz has a train
or should we opt for malaga which i think has an airport.

Thanks in advance

Need more info on your trip. How long, where do you arrive, budget? If you arrive in Seville, how long are you there? It looks like you've budgeted 8 nights? Cadiz could be the next logical step then travel along the coast, especially if you want to go to Morocco, for a day. I opted not to take time away from southern Spain. I really liked Malaga, traveled to Nerja, tucked into Granada, see the Alhambra, that could eat up a few days, there is definitely an airport outside of Malaga. Barcelona is a flight away, a train would eat up precious time.

I wouldn't waste a day from Andalucia for a daytrip to Morocco. Tangiers is not the best place to visit (think Tijuana, Mexico) when there is so much to see in Spain at your fingertips.

Are you going to rent a car or are your depending on public transportation?

What time of year is this trip?

OK - assuming you're coming from the US I'd probably add a day to Sevilla so you have time to overcome jetlag. Also if you haven't visited Cordoba an extra day in Sevilla would give you time for this city - it's a must.

Then you could take 2 days and just go to Cadiz. Cadiz is a great city to visit without a car as there are plenty of daytrip opportunities - Jerez, El Puerto,Sanlucar, Vejer, Medina Sidonia, Arcos, etc.....

Then head back to Sevilla for the flight to Barcelona (you may also be able to get a flight from Jerez).

You could do the same with Malaga - spend 2-3 nights and do some daytrips (Nerja, Antequera, etc....). Logistically it would probably be better to go to Malaga since you could fly to Barcelona from Malaga. But I'm biased towards Cadiz!
