Logistics Question: Leaving a Suitcase in London - ?
We're headed to London in about 3 weeks, staying at the Renaissance Chancery Court for the first 5 nights, then traveling to Paris for 3 nights via Eurostar. We will then return to London, staying again at the Chancery Court for 4 more nights. In other words, we're flying in and out of Heathrow with a short side trip to Paris.
In the olden days, we could arrange to simply leave a suitcase (an extra to fill with various purchases and laundry) at the hotel, rather than carry all the bags on the train. During that side trip, is there anywhere I can store my suitcase if the hotel can't do it for security reasons? I'll call the hotel directly but wanted to know if there are alternatives before I start packing. Thanks for all the excellent advice I've received over the years - it truly makes a difference! |
I'm fairly certain the Chancery Court will hold your bag since you are returning there later in your trip. But if by small chance they can't/won't - You can leave your luggage at St Pancras in Left Luggage for about £6.50 per day per piece.

I've posted here before about how much I like/love the Chancery Court and I am 99% sure they will hold your luggage, particularly as you are coming back. Definitely phone or send them an email.
The cost will be a nice tip (I'd give 3-5 quid for one or two bags) to whomever gets your bag out of storage, as opposed to now about 8 quid a day at the train station. But, there is a left luggage office at St. Pancras if you have to go that route. |
Thanks, janisj, for the alternative.

And thanks to Cathinjoetown - we are very much looking forward to the Chancery Court (almost as much as Paris).

Be sure to check out the marble staircases, which are the originals from when the building was Sun Life Assurance.
