Logis de France hotel in Branne France

Has anyone ever heard of this place? We are looking for a stopover on the way from Bordeaux to Sarlat. We get in late and need something near Bordeaux...that we can find! It is only overnight, but I hate to find myself in a dump.
thanks.
We plan to go to St Emilion the next day before moving on..this looked convenient and a lot cheaper than staying in st Emilion. (and easier to find when tired!)

www.logis-de-france.fr is a booking site for independent hotels in France. Are you saying the hotel is actually named Logis De France?

I don't know this specific Logis de France hotel. Looked it up in their guidebook and it's a one 'chimney' hotel, so don't expect too much luxury.

Have a look at the website of
Châteaux & Demeures (sounds more expensive than it is) http://www.chateauxdemeures.fr
or
Guides de Charme http://www.guidesdecharme.com
or
France-Gîtes http://www.france-gites.com/index.html
or
Gîtes de France http://www.gites-de-france.fr

Yes, as far as I can tell, Logis de France is the name. I couldn't find another. I don't understand the chiminey rateing, but i can tell that it is the lowest. i will just have to assume all these hotels are at least OK.

It appears that Logis de France is the booking agency's name. There are two hotels offered by Logis de France in Branne: Au Compte d'Ornon and Hotel de France.

Hi GP,

The Logis de France folks rate the quality of the restaurants with chimneys.

I usually select 2 chimneys if available.

We will be staying at chateau-de-roques near St. Emilion.
