Lodging under $100.00 in Rome

My son and some of his friends are travelling to Italy in June and they are on a budget. Do you have any suggestions for a clean, centrally located hotel?

$100 per room for how many people?

Try taking a look at www.hotelpapagermano.com/ and www.the-beehive.com/

And pensionepanda.it
and Eurocheapo.com/Rome .

Under a $100 a night might be tough. Perhaps you might want to look into hostels or a penzioni (if that's what they call them in Italy).

Try convents - there are quite a few - such as...

Convents with curfews might not be the best choice for young people, though.

A couple of years ago I got a room a Pensione Paradiso, across the street from the Lepanto Metro stop. Pensione Panda was full and they sent me there (and that's probably the only routing). The room was small, clean and convenient. (It was also 32E per night.)
