Lodging suggestions Orvieto area?
 

Will be in Italy late September with rental car. Two nights will be spent in the Orvieto area. Looking for suggestions for lodging. We liked the Locanda Rosati but they are booked. We like the more rural locales but urban establishments will do. Can anyone please offer some suggestions? Anyone know anything about the Villa Ciconia?

A fun place about a half hour from Orvieto is Fattoria di Titignano. Great old castle with wonderful food.

Sorry about the Locanda--that was my pick. But, in town see Hotel Duomo or Palazzo Piccolomini, and for a real sleeper in Tuscania see www.algallo.it

I've stayed at Palazzo Piccolomini 3 times and like it very much. I'm happy to provide more info on it if you have any specific questions.

I second Fattoria Titignano--fabulous views and food.
