LODGING NORTH ITALY

I will be traveling by car in the Como& Florence area late Sept and early Oct. Will I have any problem finding lodging for approx $100/night without reservations.

I think you will be able to find something - it depends on how picky you are.

Its not the timing that is likely to cause you difficulty, but the price. You are in hostel-style accomodations according to my book of notes for Florence...Como, I leave it to others to lend a hand.

I also think you'll be able to find something, but how much time do you want to spend looking/driving/walking around? I think at a minimum I would book the next destination in advance of arrival, just so I would know where I was heading when entering the town.

Hi dd704. Jean has a good idea. We often when in Italy had the hotel we were staying in make suggestions and book the next hotel for us. We always gave them a nice tip for doing that. It always worked out great.

Why wait?? Villa Cipressi is my best choice-I love the view and breakfast and the service.
