Lodging in Sevilla
 

Anyone ever stay at the serviced apartments offered by Hotel Corral del Rey? They look lovely and since we are traveling with a 15 month old, thought an apartment would make sense. Despite not being located right at the hotel, we would have access to the hotel's services and pool. Apartment is located on Calle Caballerizas, next to Casa Pilatos. Can anyone tell me if that is a good location?

Wow. No one has stayed at Corral del Rey??? What about opinions re apartment vs. hotel? I have heard great things on here about a few hotels, but apartment seems maybe best with 15 month old (although she is very chill baby...quiet and sleeps great). THoughts?

They are highly reviewed on trip advisor--that's usually sufficient for me, and I always prefer an apartment over a hotel. I stayed not far from Casa Pilatos, and I liked my location. I think you are over thinking it--if you like the looks of it and it fits your budget, why not?

There are a lot of good apartment options in Sevilla. Year before last we used Sevilla5 - http://www.sevilla5.com

They were highly recommended on this forum and we had an excellent experience staying in their Mariscal 5 apartment. Very clean, modern and quiet.

You can also send a personal message to a reviewer or two on trip advisor. I've done that on occasion and the people wrote back.
Generally yes I agree the area near Casa Pilatos is good.

Oh... one of our favorite cities ever! I don't know your listed site... but we used Seville5.com (the recommendation came from someone here) several years ago and everything went perfectly. I just looked it up and our apartment "rioja" is not listed on the main page, but is listed if you use the listing with the map. ??? here is a link.

What we really loved about the apartment was that the street in front was a walking street, so it was very quiet at night. It's in the shopping part of town... but just a very short walk to the river and the historic part of town.

also nearby, were two favorite places for ice cream and , here is a quote from my review of those which I found as I was looking for the apartment info...

"when you go to seville, don't miss two of our favorite sweet treat places--
for churros y chocolate spots... the very 'chain restaurant' looking picatoste which will be filled with locals before and after work....had the fancy, historic and expensive churros and this one was superior to all (for us.)

also, one of our new favorite ice cream places, La FiorenFina. Unbelievable flavor combinations (like "Aztec" chocolate/jalapeno -- and very sweet owner.
