Lodging in Montepulciano

Hello -- can anyone suggest a cute place to stay for one night in Montepulciano? Looking for something under 200 Euros. Thanks in advance =)

I know several good places within 15 miles but none in town that are cute.

Had a great stay with our family at Il Riccio last October. It's small (only 5-6 rooms), family-run, and right in the center of Montepulciano. Get one of the rooms with a great view of the country-side. Very friendly, but not much English spoken. Wonderful little rooftop patio. Highly recommend this place, especially for the price.

Is there a better place to stay? We are lookig for something between Florence and Rome -- just spending a day driving around little towns, doing a bit of sight seeing, a bit of wine drinking and a bit of relaxation.
Thanks

We did just what you're thinking - chose Montepulciano as a stop between Florence & Rome. Found it to be a perfect choice - quiet and relaxing compared to the larger cities, but also had a choice of good restaurants. We found enough to do there to spend 2 nights.

There are a dozen good options. Here are two:
www.lacosta.it
www.palazzodelcapitano.com

Both cute and very nice--with good food.
