lodging in cinque terra
 

My wife and I are looking for lodging in Cinque Terra for two nights in mid-May. Hopefully we can find lodging in a B&B or small hotel for no more than $100. We are traveling by train. What would be the most convenient town to stay in? Any specific recommendations?

jjtravel, Years ago We rented an apartment for 8 days in Manarola ,a small charming village ..We also traveled by train.
We liked our stay in Manarola a smaller and less touristic place than Vernazza, which is a very pretty and popular village.

Here is the website of Manarola lodgings.If you have strong legs and back there are a couple of small hotels with a fantastic view.

Marina Piccola is at the lower part of the village facing the water.We also stayed at the lower part of town and we were glad that we did it.

Do you mean US$100 or 100 euros?

I've booked Pietre di Mare in Monterosso (www.pietredimare.it) for 100 euro per night (without breakfast).

Its about a 10 minute walk from the train station and 2 minutes to the beach.

We stayed 3 nights in a small apartment with a gorgeous private terrace- view of sea and vineyards. Should be in your budget.

Casa Capellini - Manarola

Tripadvisor has many positive reviews

We visited all of the towns and preferred Manarola for its quietness and smaller size.
