Lodging in Bath, the Cotswolds

Any recommendations for mid-range hotel in Bath that is well located in town? One or 2 nights, non-weekend. Likewise, we would appreciate recommendations for lodging (2 weeknights) near Stowe or Chipping Camden. We will have a car and are traveling in July.
Thanks.

Hi Mimzy.

We have stayed twice at the Stow Lodge Hotel right on the main square in Stow and can highly recommend it to you.

It is set back from the square on lovely grounds. The hotel consists of the main manor/lodge and a separate carriage building behind which has lovely large rooms. They have a good dining room for meals plus a bar which serves meals as well. You can have a bed & breakfast plan or dinner, bed & breakfast plan.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The carriage house rooms are more expensive than the main building but they are much larger and more comfortable.

We loved the town, lots of nice pubs, restaurants and shops especially antique shops. It would be a great spot for a 2 night visit.

be sure to use Stow/Stow-on-the-Wold. "Stowe" is a different place entirely.

What is your budget?

We've stayed at Wesley House in Winchcombe that is right next to Stow-on-the-Wold. It was recommnded to us by a Stow antiques dealer as the best place around for a good dinner. We were so pleased with the food and the service that on our next trip we stayed at the hotel and again had a very pleasant experience.

Thanks for these recommendations... and for correcting my spelling of "Stow."

I recently stayed in Broadway, at The Olive Branch B&B...This place was great!
Broadway is near Chipping Campden.

Just yesterday someone else recommended the Olive Branch to me. Did you enjoy Broadway?
Still looking for a good place to stay in Bath, in town, one or 2 nights, non-weekend...

Mimzy-
Check out the trip report entitled

<Gloria and Barbara's 10 Day Trip to the UK>

They stayed at the Paradise House Hotel in Bath. The website info looks glorious.

I really enjoyed reading their travel report and thanks for telling me about the Paradise House Hotel. Between their recommendation and the website I agree, it looks wonderful.

We enjoyed Crestow House in Stow-on-the-Wold. Lovely house and welcoming hosts.

Broadway was great! Although smaller than Stow or Chipping Campden. I liked that it was smaller, and you only have to walk a short distance to see amazing countryside.

I can't recommend The Olive Branch enough - The kindest hosts, and the best room we had our whole 2 weeks in Britain.
