Lodging in Aalsmeer in summer??

Hi guys! I'm going to stay in Aalsmeer for a 2 months course in summer. Any suggestions for where to stay? Since it's a budget travel, I just need a clean & safe place to lodge...
Thanks a lot!
=^_^=

There are 3 hotels in Aalsmeer.
't Schouwse Hof, tel. 31 297 32 55 51
de Chariot tel. 31 297 36 80 92
Het Wapen van Aalsmeer tel. 31 297324321
Or try a hotel in Haarlem or Amsterdam, which are both relatively close to Aalsmeer.

Thanks Sjoerd!
But do you have any idea about apartments in Aalsmeer for temporary rentals?
Because of the limited budget, my friend would prefer not to stay in a hotel. An
accommodation near the flower auction market would be great!
Thanks again!
Hi ...

What you could do is look up the name of the tourist information board in the Dutch Yellow pages (there is a web site ... don't know the name ... I believe that there is also a English version)
When you arrive, ask them for a list of local b&bs .... in the Netherlands you stay with families .... find out if any will allow you to stay long term.

When I worked in the Netherlands (near Aalsmeer ... assuming your friend is going to be working in the big flower market there) I stayed with a local family for 6 months .... I believe it was about 20 gilders a night ... not sure of the exchange rate. Of course I went home most weekends, so it may be different in your case ....

try some of the outlining towns etc.... eg Uithoorn ... prounced Outhoorn ...

Hope that helps

Mark
