We're staying at the Hotel Saint Jacques in Sept. I did a lot of research, and this one sounds as good as any based on our requirements to be close to all the major attractions and enjoy a comfortable hotel at a moderate price.

It also gets great reviews on Trip Advisor, for what it's worth.

We stayed here last December. Inexpensive, convenient and clean. Nice room overlooking an old church.

Hello there

we stayed in the latin quarter of paris and we booked a studio around 100 euros/nights.
But you can find flat I am sur under 300e/nights
They anyway have lots of short term studio or flat in that area
have a look with them (if of course you also think about renting a flat?)
the website is www.lodjee.com/paris
Hope that will help
Good luck

I stayed at Hotel Madison on Blvd. St. Germain in the 6th arrondissment. It's in a nice neighborhood, close to 2 Metro stops, and breakfast is included.

Last August I stayed at the Hotel Dauphine Saint Germaine in the 6th - convenient, clean, quiet location, helpful staff. Breakfast was extra but there were a number of nearby alternatives. Small supermarket about 2 blocks away. Should be available for less than $200 per night.
