Lockers in Canterbury train station?

My friend is traveling England by train and wondered if the train station(s) in Canterbury have suitcase-sized lockers for storage during the day. If it matters to which station they are coming, I'll have to apologize for not knowing. Thank you!

No UK railroad station that I have seen have lockers - due to security measures. But most do have "left luggage" facilities where you leave your bags with an attendant. Not positive if Canterbury does. I've been there but didn't check out the left luggage, but I would think it does since it is a fairly busy station.

I wanted to top this to see if I could get any more answers before I forward this to her. Thanks!

slent,
I have not been to Canterbury or the train station there, but my advice would be to just ask at the information desk at the train station. We did this in Oxford, and they gave us direction to a nearby hostel where our bags could be checked. I'm sure each station handles this question differently, so I would just ask at the station.

There are left luggage facilities near the train station. They charge per kg, so it can get kind of expensive. there are some stations that have NO facilities at all, which makes hop-on, hop-off sightseeing difficult.

I'm afraid that neither Canterbury West nor Canterbury East railway station has luggage lockers nor a left luggage office. I wasin both ten days ago.

Ben Haines, London
