Lockers at the Pompeii train station?

Planning to visit Pompeii on our way from Sorrento to Rome. We'll be carrying a little bit of luggage with us. Does the Pompeii train station have lockers? I assume so, but want to be sure. Thanks.

Think not but there always has been a luggage depot at the entrance to the ruins just a short stroll from the Pompeii-Scavi (ruins) train station. There is another mainline station in Pompeii but you'll be on the CircumVesuviana that stops at the Scavi station, conveniently right by the entrance to the archaeological site.

No, the Pompeii Scavi stop is a very small place, there are no baggage lockers there. There are baggage storage units at the entrance to the Scavi, which is just across the tracks and down the street aways, so it's no problem to get from the station to the Pompeii Scavi entrance.

Instead of individual lockers, there is a storage area where you check your bag with an attendant and get a ticket to reclaim it when you leave. If I recall correctly, we were not charged for storing our bags when we visited in March 2006.
