Location to purchase TGV tickets for Dijon...

...other than at Gare de Lyon or any other main train station, can I purchase my TGV tickets elsewhere (i.e., metro stations)? I'm staying in the Marais.

Thanks!

You are on the internet. Buy them on the internet. www.voyages-sncf.com

Thanks Kerouac for the web site. Are the prices the same as purchasing in person?

Thanks!

Take a look at the guide put out on this forum by MorganB on purchasing train tickets online. I followed his step-by-step instructions and didn't have any problems (AND got a cheap PREMS fare to boot!)

Standard fares are the same whether you buy them at a station or online. PREM'S (discount) fares can only be booked online. You can bookup online to 90 days in advance and it's best to book as soon as the 90-day window opens to have the best chance of getting a PREM'S fare. Leave France as the default country and either print your ticket (PREM'S) or choose the option of picking up your ticket at a station or ticket boutique (standard).

Thanks! I did notice the PREM's fare and will book the tickets this weekend.

You can also buy them an SNCF "boutiques". I think there is one in the St-Michel RER station.

As an FYI, I did purchase our tickets today. Very easy to do. For the TGV tickets, I was able to add our names and DOB and print the tickets out (for Dijon); and we'll pick up our tickets at the train station - ticket machine - for Amiens. ;)

That's good. Don't be surprised if you can't actually use the train station ticket machine. I have never gotten one to work for me, you may have to go to the clerk's window. I don't think they accept US credit cards, that's the problem, and you need to put that in for verification, I think, even if you paid for them already.

Yes Christina, I will have to use the credit card I used to pay for the tickets. Thanks for the heads up on the machines.
